Short term rentals include vacation homes that you can list for a daily fee on Airbnb, VRBO, and other rental sites. The beauty of this type of investment is that it’s not a big commitment and the property can be used by you as well.

Long term rentals are those that are rented out at a fixed monthly rate. Contracts can last upwards of 6 months and up to several years.

These are both considered “buy and hold” investments. You buy the property and while you are holding it you manage it or get a property manager. They are valuable options because of the income possibilities and the appreciation of the property over time.

Fix + Flips.

This is what the infamous HGTV shows are all about. The concept is to buy a house at a low price, repair + renovate it, then sell it at a profit.
